So I know the Ingy’s do 2 days of double threshold and 1 session of hills for about 6 months out of the year. My achilles doesn’t really put up with hills very well in my old age, so I’m looking for the best alternative workout to be repeated weekly.
From everything I’ve read, their hill workout is the hardest one of the week where they let their lactate get up to 8mmol or so. I’m wondering what would be the closest workout to get a similar stimulus without hills. My guess was just 20x200 at Mile pace or so with probably 1 minute rest. I think their hills session is like a vo2 stimulus + form work. Thoughts?
