What about Jonathan Simms? Ran 45.12 as a sophomore last season, yet gets nowhere near as much recognition as Quincy does for running slower times at that.
What about Tyreese Cooper? Yes, I know how he ended up, and it's sad. But we can't forget how much he achieved when he was at his prime. 45.2 as a freshman is indisputable.
He runs one 1:50 800M and people start assuming he's gonna get the 1:46.45 800M national record.
How can we be so sure Quincy isn't just gonna burn out and become like every other high school phenom we see? I'd sure hope not, as I like the kid myself, but people need to lay off the damn pressure.
