I Googled a bit, but didn’t see much.
I'm just wondering what research has been done to show how the use of starting blocks affects sprint times for various types of runners.
My hunch is that they only help the strongest of runners, as weaker athletes can’t apply enough force to get out properly and end up standing upright, after already starting behind a sprinter in a two point start with their toe on the line.
Hypothesis- they are slower for almost any runner over 12s in 100 and 25s in 200.
