Working with a male 6th grader with an important 1600m race Saturday. Did a harder workout last Saturday, a week before competition: 6x 400m (30 sec jog) 200m (3min rest). Trying to get faster each rep. Splits were:

1:23, 41
1:22, 39

1:19, 37
Any 1600m predictions based on this workout?
Also, could use help with a tune-up workout for this Wednesday, before the Saturday race. Anybody have a favorite? (I can always water it down for this younger athlete).
