Just graduated from a mid major where I ran xc and track (15:22 5k, 26:30 xc 8k) and I am looking to tackle the marathon with Boston as a main goal. I don't think qualifying will really take too much thought or effort if I just rehash my college training (adding some volume of course), but is there a better method to writing my own training for the distance? Is something like the Jack Daniel's book the best bet for maximizing my potential on the roads?
