I was there all 4 days. Stands were not full, but that could be because it was a high school meet in downtown philadelphia? Its amost like it was only parents coaches and a few extras?
Who goes to HS meet that they don't have a kid in?

We also have to move on from "its the shoes". The shoes have now been around for years and at this meet it seemed every event was a record. A world record, national record. many seconds coming off records. It was insane. We need a new theory.
1) Post pandemic return to sports + shoes = surge in records?
2) greater participation in National meets by athletes from other sports (aka, is track becoming cool?)
3) anyone?
The records went bye bye in most events and the quality ran deep in the standings. Something was crazy. Boys 2 mile freshman was beaten by 15 sec! A dude ran 9.95!
It's a large stadium and half the people had left by the time the 4x4s came around. Also, the second weekend of June in Philly is shore time for a lot of people.
