Thst makes more sense (I only read the headline). Still very typical for xc skiers: numbers in the training diary are more important than doing optimal training. You constantly hear them being overtrained. Anna Haag had one of her best seasons when she had several illnesses duting off season.

I have seen tons of pros do similar training and been fine. Ik LetsRun is obsessed with overtraining though.
Easy to do tons of volume for low impact training like rskiing or cycling. Some nordic guys do crazy volume but only 1-2 sessions with quality per week around this time of year. Easy rollerskiing is super easy on the body, not like running.
