He'll be so great as a 25 year old junior!
Announcer the only guy at the meet that didn’t know Simmons ran a 2 mile this morning.
Hillhouse- 1:50/3:59/9:02 - 20th at Footlocker nationals, 9th at NXR SW is a pretty legit resume.
Simmons- 1:53/4:01/8:34/13:25 - 1st NXR SW, 2x Utah State Champ, 13th NXN
Heemeyer- 1:55/4:09/8:59 - 2nd NXR NW, 14th at NXN
Jaster- 1:54/4:09/8:38 - 13th NXR SW
Can any school match that? Also I'm pretty sure I'm missing 1-2 athletes
What was Hillhouse's mile PB prior to today?
Are those 3000, 3200 or 3218 times?

That's a damn scary class. And unlike Oregon, there are no questions surrounding the coaching at BYU.

Hillhouse was 4:05 full mile prior to today.
Those are all 3200 times

Truthfully, many D1 colleges can’t match that roster.

You missed Tyler Matthews - He only broke 16 in XC once, but he'll be nasty on the track.
48.34/1:49/4:08/9:26
this announcer has always been so annoying. how hard can that job be?
Great week for Simmons tbh
13:25, 8:38, and 4:07 in four days is somewhat ridiculous
Hillhouse looked strong. Announcer was horrifyingly bad. Reilly looked good as well
That's a great class. I guess the question is how many of them are going on mission? And as an old Domer, I still think Notre Dame has the best distance class this year. Including Griffith and Pajak - 1-2 at Footlocker and both ran in the mile today (Pajak 4:04); along with Cameron Todd at 4:08 today (and sub-8:50) they have 3 other sub 9 2-milers and that 800 dude from American Fork who ran 1:50+ this year. Still think these Hs'ers run far too many of these end of year prestige races. Time to get some rest!

Also Berkley Nance.
Injured for outdoor, but PR's of 4:14/9:02
5th at Woodbridge, 3x Virginia state champ, 2nd at NXR SE, 30th at NXN, 4th at Footlocker, 6th at USA U-20 XC.
Seems like a Landon Heemeyer, not great on the track, but can run a hard pace forever and always be counted on to place high at big meets.
These are the guys that I think will do better at 8k/10k anyways, so despite his mediocre track times, Berkley could be the most legit guy here behind Simmons (for XC anyways)

Apparently
but if Anyone remembers German Fernandez as a 17 year old HS’er
He did that double within 3 hours solo
8:34.x 3200
4:00.x 1600
No HS’er ever did or most like will ever do that
That’s how good he was
I give Simmons huge props for not scratching, but he was never beating Griffith
Maybe not even at two miles either
Griffith has stones , that guy came up on him got his shoulders by him
But he dug down deep and won again at sub 4
he really is great
Danny to Atlanta Georgia in July
Zach to the Philippines in the fall I think
Dunno about the others

Austin Westfall got 4th at NXN, gonna be a MONSTER in the 8k/10k
Wdym by any school? Hillhouse doesn't go to American Fork and even if he did Newbury Park from two years ago was better.

But did German do all that six days after a 13:25 5k? There are probably only a few college guys who can do what Danny did over the past six days.
Griffith is definitely a stud, but he and Danny raced fresh at Arcadia and Danny controlled the entire race.
Nvm you're talking about BYU commits mb
Zack goes off to the Philippines and discovers the seedy world of Tuk - Tuk. Danny get's introduced to southern food and the Atl underground and will never be heard from running wise again.
What the hell was that? Freddie Crittenden just ran 18 seconds in the hurdles
Kara Goucher failed to speak for 1 minute and 27 seconds after the race.
How much does someone like Ryan Crouser make? Why not join the NFL?
