I'm going into my junior year in high school. I ran cross country and distance track all my freshman year, and I made decent progress. Both the cross country and track season were cut short for me this year (sophomore), and I made negative progress in the 2 meets I ran during cross, and the longest race I ran during track was the 800. I've gotten back into running longer, but I'm nowhere near where I was my freshman year, time/speed or distance wise. I feel stuck and tired of not being able to improve at all. I can't run faster than 9:30/mile on any of my runs which is very dissatisfying and disappointing, having ran a 19 minute 5k and as a male in high school. Does anyone have any advice for progression or just tips for stuff in general?
