not injured (training 5k xc) so only as supplement, increasing mileage and I don’t want to go crazy; 2nd run would ultimately make me faster, but not there yet; better to build up and play it safe, so swimming seems great, + stretching/weights but is it worth it can swimming actually help improve running fitness?
Maybe I shouldn’t, it could mess up quality of my other runs… idk. I just want to know if it’s worth it, 3-4 1hr sessions a week, also I will most likely mostly drop it later in the season because I’ll be doing doubles a lot more
Side note: everyone’s different, but take Valby who cross trains a ton and is
super fast, it obviously works for her (also the elliptical too) but she is crazy with how much she does, putting in a few hours per day if I’m not mistaken. So maybe it could only really work if you go crazy, not just a few hours per week?
