So, I've moved to supershoes like most, a couple years ago, and while I feel faster in them for races, I don't particularly like to train in them.
i'd prefer using a classic pair of flats for tempo and track workouts, but I'm having a hard time finding similar feel to what the Adidas Adizero Adios (or Tempo) used to provide.
My last pair of "good" adidas flats were Adidas Adizero Tempo 4. Really loved them.
The Tempo 5 and subsequent models started replacing the boost cushioning with lightstrike which i find too firm, not flexible enough, and also it felt like the drop had been reduced.
The classic, non carbon plated adizero adios seem to have followed the same path. My last pair is the adizero adios 7 which i find very rigid, and is also based on lightstrike pro material. It took me a number of weeks to break them in, and i still don't really like them .... The way the foot unrolls is too choppy.
Do any of you know of a good replacement model (ideally adidas) ? I was considering the adidas rc or takumi sen but since they use the same material I'm a bit dubious...
I'm just looking for an honest pair of flats, flexible, with some cushioning and 10-12mm drop.
