In light of Simmons' 13:25, this feels oddly underwhelming. Amazing performance from Griffith, closed in 2:00 high and soloed the last 1k. Really want to see another rematch between Griffith and Simmons.

You'll get it in Philly. Except it's in the mile... probably not the distance you're craving.

He had a 4:06 last mile. Just because someone else is doing good shouldn't take away from what he is doing. Is Danielson's or Liquori's sub 4 not impressive cause Jim Ryun ran faster? Some pretty good people have run the 2 mile. And he is faster than basically all of them. LV has the record but with him on a good day and really any sort of remotely even pacing and he can take it down.
As windy as it was, this was literally an insane performance. Not even considering the splits.
You could see this mark coming. He is the whole package.
8:31y is second best ever. Does he get the 8:29.45? Will be tough and might need some help to get there.
11-second PR and Florida state record for Patrick Koon in second place (8:34.82). The national record would've been broken had they gone out faster.
Too bad we’ll never know what he really ran. Thanks nike.
