I'm running a half marathon at the end of June, I've been preparing for it for last three months averaging 70-80 miles a week and will be tapering for it looking to run a pr on a fast flat course. 3 weeks after the race there is a local half marathon run on the beach, I was planning on using it as a long run and hoping to win it with ease (the times are pretty slow), however I just heard from a friend that a group of guys at the local track club had the same idea as me. I want to defend my home turf, anyone have any ideas on what I should do during the 3 week gap between the races in order to be ready to take on these club guys.
