I run in college. I have to make a decision. Should I do the 400/800 focused on mid distance or 400/200 focused on sprints.
My times stand at:
200: 22.38
400: 48.6 (Indoor)
600: 1:19.08 (Indoor)
800: ???

Try an 800. Do a little bit of mileage, but don't overdo it.
Let's say you can run 1:54.
That's 56-58 splits. Easy work.
Start with 15 miles a week, but DO NOT prioritize distance/endurance training over speed.
Speed is #1.
Based on your 600M time, if you were to split 1:19 and ran a 30 second last 800M, that's still 1:49, so you're probably the 4/8 type. You could maybe run 47/1:51 outdoors if you pace correctly.
Then 46/1:48
And so forth
