I (currently) have no need to run in spikes, however I've recently heard a couple people talk about using spikes for 150-200m Strides or Repeats as a tool to help build lower leg strength. Specifically, I heard Morgan Pearson mention this (as well as others).
Assuming I could get a pair at discount and eased into using them is this something other people are doing and would recommend?
If yes; how often, at what time of the season, any watch-outs etc. would be cool to hear.
