The Columbus crew took two weeks in hypoxic texts at night and used some altitude simulating training tech . But they stilled looked terrible. Can an athlete prepare for 8000ft from sea level in this way?

Pachuca dominated beginning to end. Could've been 5-nil.
I’d thought two weeks was a reasonable (if not ideal) acclimation period for well-trained athletes for that level of exertion (even though I wouldn’t plan to rely on high work-rate midfielders at their usual level).
great offense beats a pretty good defense. they were putting up 6 or 7 goals a round before the final. crew were sneaking through rounds scoring 2 and winning on PKs or defense. but they weren't shutting teams out and you needed more like that to corral pachuca.
crew were sloppy in the box -- they had some chances, and this game were getting beat on balls behind their backline. i'm not a fan of offsides traps and zone defense.
