Cut down kilos each 200 faster x 3-5
1600-1200-800-400
400-300-200-100 x 3-5
5 Mile run each mile faster
5 Mile run is done weekly
the other three workouts two of them per week rotated around
i.e. run workouts one and two one week three and one the next week two and three the following week
What was your times as a sophomore? 400-800-1500
Fartlek and hill work should be regular element, 2-3 times a week, a variety of length steepness and effort. Some hills should be around 8-12 seconds all out with minimum 4-6 rest, 4-6 reps

I'm an advocate for long runs, so i d add at least a slow low HR 15miler there every week n a half. (there is a way of getting upto the 15 during training cycle n up more. But I chose 15 arbitrarily)
Long runs do an amount of good that s immeasurable.
Very good point so I had listed four workouts a week one long run and one easy runs would round out the week of training. I'm a big advocate of one day of rest every week.
