The state T&F championships for all divisions goes through tomorrow. Let’s get through that first.
Olen. Orange took 3rd in the state meet and only losing 2 varsity runners. The 2 teams that beat them (Mas. Jackson & Mason) graduated a lot.
But Mason and St Xavier had many guys really step up during track, so they are capable of reloading.
Hudson returns the fastest group of 3200 times.
Dub. Jerome returns the fastest group of 1600 times.
Incoming junior Maxwell Friedrich ran a 9:05 3200 and took 3rd at the state meet as a sophomore. Definitely a guy to watch out for
It will be tough for Mas. Jackson to repeat as state champs. They are losing a lot of guys
Landon Kimmell, Eli Ilg, Schroff, Fredrich, Mick Temple, and the Chardon kid will fight for the title. It's Kimmels if healthy, imo
Which teams will qualify for the state meet from the Pickerington region?
I think it will be (in no specific order):
Olen. Orange (took third at the state meet and returns 5 guys. Schoff will be the new #1 now that Saketh is gone)
Dub. Scioto (qualified last year and return everyone except Day)
Dub. Jerome (barely missed state 2 years in a row not I think they can pull through this time. They return 5 under 16:30)
Wester. North (returns their entire team except Gabelman and DellaSanta)
Olen. Liberty (they graduate a lot of guys but they return 9:39, 9:50, 9:50, 9:55, 10:04, and another 4:23 guy with no 3200 time. 5k returning times - 16:07, 16:11, 16:15, 16:16, 16:37, 16:40, 16:59)
Sean raith 4:20 mile
Wow that’s impressive! Any idea where he is going to high school in the fall? I can’t find much on milesplit.
