My son entered this east coast distance carnival at stevenson university in maryland this weekend. It seemed like a fairly decent meet.
We received an email from the MPSSAA saying this is an unsanctioned state meet of champions which the MPSSAA does not allow.
Bottom line anyunderclassman that participates in the meet or wears their HS uniform will lose
their eligibility next year.
Have your son enter the meet under the name of one of his primary rivals. Get the rival DQ'ed for next year and your kid wins.

But seriously, it's so pathetic how partisan running teams (HS/MS) are. Coming from the swimming world, it just wasn't like this, and these coaches and sanctioning bodies need to grow up and do the right thing for the athletes instead of themselves.
