Hello. I am looking for advice on building up mileage.
I have been running for a year and three months relatively consistently now, averaging around 38 mpw (60kmpw). My biggest month was last December when I ran 50 mpw (80kmpw). In March and April I averaged 40mpw and this month (May) I will average ~44 mpw (70kmpw). I want to bump my mileage up quite a lot this summer (I want to hit ~60 mpw aka 100kmpw).
How should I execute that? Now I have no problems averaging 44 mpw on 5 runs. Should I build up some base first, I mean go easy on all of my runs for the first couple of weeks while gradually building up to say like 50-55 mpw?
