I’m trying to decide what i should do in the winter. i’m a freshman girl currently with prs of 5:16, 11:34 and 18:35. I run about 20 miles a week currently. I played basketball this year and missed the first two weeks of track season because of postseason. I feel like this affected my potential this track season and now my season is over. I want to run indoor this year and am thinking of quitting basketball but i also don’t want to burn out or peak in high school and plateau in college because of running too much. I really just want to take the next step in running because that is where my heart is but i also love playing basketball with all my friends. My coach told me i can’t do both but he highly recommends running in the winter. Any thoughts?
