Ran 1:18:4x for the half in a perfectly-executed race a couple weeks ago. Completely even splits the whole time, can honestly say that I surprised myself. Didn't close hard (save for the last 400m) but didn't come close to falling apart. Very happy with how things turned out.
Was averaging slightly a bit over 100km/week in the 5 months before the race, peaking at 115. Had come back from injury (~3 months) in September, en route to HM training ran an 8k in 28:03. Between September and December had averaged 85ish km/week before bumping up.
Running my first Marathon in Sacramento this December. I think that 2:45 is a realistic goal, yet it seems really lofty (but possible) to work down to 2:40. I've generally been a more aerobically developed person (i.e. my race equivalent results between 5k and HM are relatively even). Wondering for opinions.
