I haven’t found any track shoes with spikes available in my size to buy or custom make. Does anybody know any sources to find shoes in my size or where to custom make them?

I wear size 17 as well but I never ran track so didn't need any spikes. Check out where else you go to buy shoes. They might be able to help. Could contact the big shoes manufacturers directly and see if they could help.

Is this your post on Reddit?
This site carries shoes up to size 20
No spikes there in my size
buy these size 15 dragonflys (top long distance spike, 800 runners that run 52 400 pace wear them) for 13 bucks, rip out the insole, (takes it down half a size with it in)and cut the toebox open as much as you can/need. not wearing socks will also take you down around a half size. much better than some 7oz generic spike.
This actually sounds doable, is there any specific method/tutorial/tools needed to cut into the toe box and do this whole process?

Your HS coach should have mail order/online catalogs of T&F specialty shoes (in odd sizes) to buy for team orders. Road Runner Sports, East Bay, MF Athletic, Venue Sports are some of the more common sources.
