Valby entered in both 10K and 5K in East regional. Assume she will do tempo runs with enough effort to win in regional and go for more serious time(s) in NCAA championships. If all goes well, she should be good to go in the Trials.

Doubling at the NCAAs would be a terrible idea. It’s more likely she hasn’t decided which one she wants to run at the championships.
For the East Prelims, as a fan, I would like to see Parker Valby try and run at least the collegiate record, if not the OlyStandard, in Saturday’s 5000m race. To do so, she would try and coast the 10000m in trainers on Thursday to save her legs.
Then, at Natty’s, maybe she could try and run the OlyStandard in the 10000m, if up for it.

She has the 5k standard. And realistically, being in the top 3 at trials in the 10k should bring her ranking high enough (per posters in other threads).

She does not have the 5k standard. She barely missed it, but nonetheless.
