You're in for a rude awakening if you think you can train for speedgoat on a treadmill.
I'd say 1.0 incline. Maybe do some training at 3.0
Speedgoat 50k is pretty flat and is a well groomed trail almost the whole way.
Honestly I wouldn't change much from your road marathon training.
Set the treadmill for 6 percent, and go 10 miles, then assess whether you think you could do another 21 miles of very hilly running, but steeper. Then go outside and run on dirt hills.
I agree with this. You might even need to put the treadmill incline at -1 and run a little less mileage each week so that you don't arrive at the race in such good trail shape that you embarrass the field
Just eat a pack of Spring Energy Awesome Sauce every 45 minutes or so and you'll be fine. 🤣
