Everyone runs mile repeats, 1k, 800, 400 and 6 minute repeats. What's the most underrated rep distance? I'd either say the 1200, 300 or the 10 minute.

600m, but don't ask me why.
I think the 300 is highly underrated. Great for most things, shorter than a 4 so you can really push that faster than lactic threshold without really hitting that wall.
Great training distance for anything from 400s up to 5k or further.
If you are a 4-800 runner, 150's don't get nearly enough love.
300 is great, but 1200 is supreme. Three clean laps around a track, I find 6x1200 a better 5k workout than 6x1k. 1200 is to mile and k repeats what 300 is to 400; that's what makes the 1200 so amazing
Every once in a while my college coach would have us do really strange-sized reps like: 500m, 900m, 1100m, 1800m, 2200m, etc., when he wanted us to focus more on feel and not be stressed about precise splits. Was harder to do the quick math in our heads during the workout. It kind of made it fun.
Two good workouts:
8x300m with a slow 100m jug recovery
1200m with a 400m jog then a fast 400m (do that twice).
I like to use various distances and times and often include 300's, 600's and 1200 meter repeats in workouts for my runners. Here are a few examples:
For 800 meter runners - 6 x 300 @ 800 Goal Pace w 2:30 walk recovery
For 5000 meter runners - 5 x 1200 @ 5k goal Pace with 400 jog recovery
As speedwork for Half Marathoners: 12 x 600 @ ~10% quicker than HM pace w 1:30 jog recovery
133 meters for 400m and 800m runners. A 3rd of the distance of the track is a very utilizable distance.
For the love of dog, don't leave us hanging; I need to know..... WHY
Something about doing 2k reps for threshold workouts instead of mile repeats. Just having that extra 400m each rep feels like a big deal once you knock out the workout.
300s and 150s get my vote as well. 300s with short rest as a bread and butter 1500m pace workout, 150s to work on acceleration. I personally don't like 1200s as much as 1ks but could see the value in 800s for 3k pace stuff
As for threshold workouts 10 minutes is nice, like 4 x 10 minutes
420
I like 3 minutes runs.
6x3min with 2min slow jog
