I don't understand why more runners don't come to Taos for altitude training. It would be a perfect place to build your blood volume because after you train you can drive 20 minutes at sleep at 9500 ft or higher. Isn't that the ideal, train low sleep high? Also it's not crowded in Taos, it's empty. It's not like Flagstaff. We have more places to run that Albuquerque because everything is a dirt road. You can run a dirt road along the Rift Valley for miles.
The scenery is jaw dropping and incredible. The winters are mild and there is 364 days of sunshine a year.
It's 2.5 hours drive from ABQ just like Flag is a 2.5 hr drive from PHX. Anyone that wants more information comment here and I will send you a message.
