You chat, get her number if you hit it off and ask her to brunch after run club. After that, you ask her if she wants to do some of your easy runs with you. Unless you train like Harvard and go 6 min pace on all runs. Chances are from there you can find some more stuff to do. This summer you could watch the olympics together.
If she's significantly faster than you, you don't stand a chance.
She can be a better runner than you (ie she could be a national finalist and you could just be a solid club runner, but if any of her PRs are faster than yours, you have to find someone else.

So Greg can't date Lolo? He might go home devastated.

"Get her number?" What age are you? 50? Nowadays, it's friends on FB or follows on Insta. PM's is where it's at.
If you like. That's more casual. By the first date or two you should still ask for her number - it shows a higher level of commitment.

What if she’s significantly faster than me?
Then she will have to slow down if you two run together. Its just a suggestion - obviously if you are on way different levels you won't really do that. If you stick with the run club, chances are you'll eventually catch up to her though, because of genetics.
You first find a running club. Don't join an elite club even if you can run those times (usually you need to run 14:30/2:30 in 5000/marathon to even be considered). The reason is most elite female runners already have boyfriends or are married. You will have a much better shot at picking up females by joining the local club that all runners can join as long as they pay an entry fee. These female runners tend to not make running their life; unlike you and I, these females actually have a life where running is just a small addition to their life.
Then, you need to show up. I would definitely wear your most "runner" attire that you have. This means matching the tank with the short shorts, both in brand and color. You can wear whatever shoes you want, but make sure they are either brand new or they look brand new (throw them through some water and soap if you need to the night before & let them air dry). You want to look "serious" as it looks attractive to females.
Then, you find a cute one and simply say, "Hey, it's my first run here I'm so excited what's your name?" Or if you have some humor, crack a joke and then ask what her name is. Obvi, however you make the move, have calm body language (stand up tall with your shoulders back) and smile and look her in her eyes.
Also, never say your name without her asking. You always need to ask for her name and DON'T GIVE YOUR NAME back unless she asks. This way, you can gauge how friendly and into you she is. If she doesn't ask, she gives two s*** about having something with you. Just retry with the next girl (maybe do it the following week so she doesn't think you're hitting on all the females)
Whoever asked for your name back after you broke the ice, run with them. Again, come off as cool, humble, calm, and happy. If it was multiple females, this is your time to pick your favorite. During the run, make small talk, laugh (remember, you are running in a local club so this will be at recovery pace, you're not running so hard here you can't talk and laugh while running). Either during or at the end of the run, pull out your phone and (dont ask) order her number. I mean say something like "give me your number, I would love to grab dinner with you next weekend." Dont say "Can I have your number?" This comes across as lacking confidence.
Then, on your dinner date, just do your thing and have a happy ending.

Hard disagree. You don't "ask" a girl if she wants to go to brunch with you. What is she, your highness? Your lord? Nay. When a man asks for a girl's permission, you give up your power as a man and give it to the girl. This reeks of your lack of confidence and leadership.
If you want to meet with her, you say, "Hey, I am going to grab brunch this Saturday at the Diner. (Start to pull out your phone and open Contacts and then say) "let me know if I'll see you there" (at this point, flip your phone so its right-side up facing her with the new contact page open, she'll almost always then give you her number.)" You then text her your name so she has your phone, and then don't ever text her back again unless she texts you.
If she texts you, she's into you. If not, she's not. If she wants to small talk through text, you don't engage. Either call her and say "Hey, I'm really busy but I can't wait to see you this Saturday at the Diner" keeping the call no longer than 5 minutes, or don't respond unless it is a question about where the restaurant is located or what time. The phone is for setting dates, not for getting to know your woman, and this includes phone calls.
