Except intersex people exist. And people who appear to be female at birth, but also have male genitalia. So it never really was that ‘simple,’ and literally wouldn’t solve any of the problems because your solution is to pretend they don’t exist.
This literally only was on one occurrence in the sport of track and field (Caster S.), and it was solved by a testosterone rule. Which should be a rule in all sports, if the case of dual genitalia occurs, so that way - again. We can protect women's sport.

There are several Africans affected by this rule, Caster was just the first and you’re already adding stipulations to your original rule. You’ve made it more complicated and there are other cases.
Are you now suggesting that every middle school athlete goes through testosterone testing and maintains a biological passport to participate in their middle schools track & field day? Or just when their middle school competes against other middle schools in the district?

Or maybe we just have a local pastor inspect all the genitals before the meet?
I suppose we could have creepy letsrunners just tell us if girls look ‘Feminine’ enough
There are also girls transitioning to boys who are given TUE for testosterone. Should they be allowed to continue competing against girls?
This is irrelevant. If they were born XX they compete with XX. If you’re born XY, you compete with XY. That’s it. If there is any dual ambiguity, then have a gender chromosome test, or adhere to the testosterone ruling. Let’s stop living in clown world for christs sake.
I hear what you are saying, "I wish things were simpler and people were not so complicated." But people are complicated. And in a free country, people are allowed to rank the things they value. We don't all have the same values because we are in a country that tells us to be individuals, not mirror images of some archetype.
You can choose your religion, diet, fashion, job, city, friends, attitudes, hobbies, educational goals, sexual partners, hygiene, parenting style, attitude towards work, etc.
Some people value the "mission of tearing down systems of power" more than they value "just living a normal life." In America, people get to choose what they care about and what outrages them.
Some people are outraged that transgenderism is still not 100% normal and taken for granted as part of our society. They think the coming changes will make America a better place to live in.
You (and I) might disagree with that. But we are not in charge of other people's values...

So how much would it cost to gender test every competitor? When does the gender testing start? Do we test everyone or do we still have a committee of femininity that determines who looks ‘manly’ enough to require testing?
You’re on your third iteration, you haven’t even answered the basics yet. It’s almost like you haven’t thought this through at all.
That’s what Nikki Hiltz does, but people still get upset.
We don't get upset that she competes with the women. We just get upset that she expects us to call her "they." And that she never feels like a man on race day.
The acceptance of "transgenderism" by the medical community is the scandal of our age. Everybody is so afraid of offending the LGBQ+ lobby that the truth has become a Third Rail... that truth being that Homo Sapiens cannot change their gender. Can't happen, won't happen, regardless of whatever smorgasbord of horrific experimental surgeries and hormone treatments are applied. Dr Mengele would blush.
The idiocy of males competing in womens' competitions is clear, but pales in comparison to the greater idiocy here.

Why does it matter what Nikki wants to be called or how Nikki feels on race day if Nikki is competing in the right biological sex category?
It would just solve all of these gender in sport problems and protect women's sport.
discus.
Sounds great. Tell the left.
I'm super lefty. I totally agree with you and OP.
What's funny though is that for many, if not most people on the right, that's not enough. And if you don't believe me, then just read some of the other replies on this thread.

Yeah, see there probably is room for people to come together and put reasonable solutions in place, but ultimately the ‘trans people don’t exist, put them in asylums’ group undermines attempts at reasonable solutions.
Well thought out solutions that acknowledge differences, promote inclusion, and protect the integrity of women’s athletics by differentiating what inclusion looks like at different levels of sport. What is a reasonable solution for high school athletics might not look the same as the Olympics.
By their very nature, the Olympics is extremely exclusive. Very few people get to go, on the other hand, high school sports is much more about giving everyone an opportunity.

Because it's not about what they pretend it's about. If it was really just about fair competition, then there wouldn't be an issue. It's about hate. The "normal guy who pays attention" doesn't want to merely ensure Nikki competes against other women, he wants to impose his belief system on Nikki Hiltz.
