If you played action-packed video games for 4 hours a day that kept your heart in Zone 2, could you get strengthen your heart and increase your heart’s stroke volume? Why or why not?

You're correct, OP. Your heart doesn't know the difference between what activities you're performing. All it knows is it's being worked at a specific BPM for a given time period. You can certainly exercise your heart by playing games if it raises your HR to an aerobic zone.
But no one here will acknowledge this because it discredits their time and work spent running.
How are you getting your heart rate to zone 2 playing video games? If you at least have some experience as a runner your resting heart should be near 60, with most experienced runners probably have a resting pulse of ~50 or so. How are you getting your heart rate up 70+ beats playing video games lol. Seems like something pretty hard to do, and even if you do get it up for a few seconds I don't see how you would maintain it there, not to mention you're not using any muscles so you're not developing any running-specific mitochondria or neuromuscular connections. Find better things to do with your time.
