2022 (Freshman Year)
XC: Out hurt, no times
Indoor: Out hurt, not times
Outdoor: 200 = 27; 400 = 1:02; 1600 = 5:13
Outdoor Club: 800 = 2:22; 1500 = 4:45; 3000 = 10:17
-----------------------------------------------------------
2023 (Sophomore Year)
XC: 5K = 18:07
Indoor: 300 = 38.68; 500 = 1:15.19
Outdoor: 400 = 55.32; 800 = 2:14.81 (Hurt again most of the season, missed two months)
Outdoor Club: 400 = 54.54; 800 = 2:06.50; 1500 = 4:25
*Note* During outdoor club, my primary focus was the 800/1500. I ran the 400 twice, still seeing a 1 second improvement.
-------------------------------------------------------------
2024 (Current Junior Year)
XC: 5K = 17:31
Indoor: 300 = 38.14; 500 = 1:10.24; 800 = 2:07.61
Outdoor: 400 = 52.17; 800 = 2:02.15; 1500 = 4:25; 4x4 = 51.14 split; 4x2 = 23 flat split
*Note* Indoor, I didn't do any distance work even though I ran the 800. Coach just kept training me with speed endurance (He is the sprints coach :)). He wasn't a believer in "slower running." After seeing the error in his ways and discussing it with the distance coach, during outdoor season, they made sure I spent one day a week with distance doing endurance workouts (mile repeats etc) and running about 15 MPW on my own outside of practice. I didn't do much of any training for the 1500/1600 though so my 1500 (Did it once as a workout) was still as fast as club last year.

So, like last year, I am getting ready to run club track and will again primarily focus on the 800/1500 and run the 400 maybe once or twice, just like I did last year. I am hoping for 50-51.
My problem has always been, I have never been sure what I am. Always felt like a hybrid, not exceptional at any one event.
When I was 12 years old I ran the 400 = 1:01; 800 = 2:23.95; 1500 = 4:49. That was 2019. Well, COVID and injuries came and I wasn't even a shell of myself for the next three years (2020-2022). I was also on medicine for ADHD that affected my appetite which stunted my growth during the referenced time.
But I changed my medicine after 2022, started growing again, eating etc and now I am looking good physically.
I mean if it were up to me, before I go to college, I would like to be at 400 = 49, 800 = 1:55 and 1500 = 4:05.
Provided I stay injury free and going off of my history, what do you think will be my prospects short term for this upcoming club season? I saw big drops in my times last year.
What do you predict long term? Including next year as a senior? Do you ultimately see me as a 400/800 guy or 800/1500 guy? I am thinking it may become more clear after this club season. Any suggestions? Thanks.
