Cool
The camera work is novel. I like this.
A lot of gaps in this women's field considering it's not blistering fast. O'Keeffe is running well. Megan Keith is just following Jess Judd, no interest in pushing it, which is the smart strategy, I guess
Some really moranic running in a few races tonight. People fighting to get ahead of pacers who were on agreed pace then falling apart when leading. Tuck in and save something, it's not that hard.
This is Megan Keith's race now. She's covering every move with so little effort. She'll squeeze the life out of them over the last few laps
WOW what a last lap!
What a race that was
great race - O'Keefe nearly held on, Keith pipped her on the line
Thoroughly enjoyed this.

Jesus, O'Keeffe had no business making it that hard for Keith. What an effort. But Keith, man, she looked broken, no idea how she found that in the last 50m
Great finish. I think the crowd helped the win.
On another note: it's amazing how 10000m running can be so exciting when it's presented properly. World Athletics needs to take extensive notes
Hands down I think this is the best running event in the world. Just imagine if they got more quality in the field..

It's too long to be interesting. I wish the olympics replaced the 5000 and 10000 with the 3000 and 5000, respectively.
I love watching the 10K on the track! Without commercials at the worst times or panning to another event. This was great. It shows it can be done right and be captivating. O'Keeffe looked great, I think she was shocked she got taken over at the end. A shame D'Amato dropped out.

Agree. I'd normally be there, but circumstances got in the way. It's amazing, just a lot of fun. A big reason is that it draws in club runners because a lot of us will have friends running in the earlier races. The crowd is full of people who really love distance running at all levels. I don't know why every athlete doesn't want to run this, just for the experience. Athletics is a short career, why spend your time running on high school tracks in front of 50 people when you could have this?
Shoutout to Amanda Vestri with a huge PR for 3rd. She also got the race moving with about 8-10 laps to go when she went to the front.
All or nothing for Hicks, here. Does he get the standard?
Charles Hicks is going for it!
Out in 64s laps early on.
