I’m looking for some advice on when to start my summer training to achieve a sub-17 5K this upcoming season. My current PR from last season is 18:30. I’m eager to improve and would appreciate any tips or recommendations on how to structure my training plan, including when to begin.
A bit about my background:
- Age: sophomore HS
- Running experience: this will be my second year running
My goal is to be in peak condition by the start of the cross-country season. Any insights on key workouts, mileage, and when to start building up my base would be incredibly helpful. Also, if anyone has tips on strength training or injury prevention, I’m all ears.
