I recently just finished up my sophomore track season as a 400/800 runner with prs of low 51/high 50 and mid 1:58 (unsure of actual timing because I was only ever able to go all out in a relay at the end of the season). I also play basketball and will have a lot of that throughout June, but not much in July. I was hoping for help in scheduling my Summer Training. I will run xc which I did last year (17:30pr sophomore) but I am not so much focused on it as I am for 400/800 running. I made a Google sheets here -
However, I am unsure of if I am doing workouts too early, or not enough, or If my mileage is good. My goal is to run high 1:53 or low 1:54 next year in the 800 and 48s in the 400, and I was wondering if anyone could help steer me in the right direction with how my Summer training should go, or edits to my plan I currently have. I know my goals seem far but I am hoping with a lot of hard work I will be able to achieve them!!!
