So I ran a season opener, was prepared to run a sub 17min 5k with a lot of margin from training, I started properly not going faster than 3:24/k, and around halfway I started falling apart, legs were fine, but my body just wouldnt let me continue, I had to take walk breaks and finished in 20mins, before the race I took 2x the dose of caffeine I normally take because I slept 3,5h only. I puked after and stomach ache + nausea could be felt for an hour afterwards
Everytime I race a 5k+ something goes wrong even if the preparation is good, what to do?
