The one with the most to prove right now is Knighton right now which seems funny to say. Noah is the 100/200 world champ and has significantly improved his 60m so far this season, Kenny's performances are reminiscent of his 2021 season but even better so I have no problem believing 19.5 is possible for him. Lindsey had a hot hand last year to end the collegiate season and the time zone might've affected him since he looked shaky in the 200 today but still good enough for 2nd with a big victory against Tebogo earlier in the season. Knighton has only run faster than Bednareks pr once and Lindseys pr twice and those were in 2022. Then question marks regarding Coleman, Kerley, Norman, Miller, and Gregory since one of them could factor in.
It kind of is; but whatever. When they talked about kung fu flu a few years ago, they shut that down pretty quick as racist. Even though I’m Korean, many Americans just assumed I was Chinese during Covid.
See what I mean? You make fun of my ethnicity, but think it’s ok. You don’t even give it a second thought. It’s the same situation with First Nation people.

Kenny Bednarek is great for the sport. I love to see him up there. It's tough to make US top three, even tougher to medal, but he has been right there for years. If Knighton shows improvement from his 2022 form, we have a shot at a sweep but the young guy from Botswana should medal at 200 (silver) and 400 (gold) if he runs it.

Major differences between the two, calling Covid the Kung Fu Flu was culturally appropriating the entire Chinese population due to the virus originating from a part of China and making fun of them for being the place of origin for the virus by calling it the Kung Fu Flu.
In this case, Fung Fu Kenny has no mal intent behind it, and is simply being said as Bednarek wears a head band which makes him somewhat look like the stereotypical Kung Fu/martial arts master you would see in movies.
Could also be a reference from Kung Fu Kenny in Rush Hour 2.
Needless to say, one is make fun of and somewhat blame the Chinese population and generalizes them as people who do Kung Fu, while the other is a potential reference to a movie as well as him wearing something that's associative to stereotypical Kung Fu masters (which at the very most could be considered disrespectful by some to those who do Kung Fu, but come on that's pushing it, that would make any commercial Kung Fu thing offensive and in turn anything would be considered offensive if you really wanted).

It’s also very clearly a reference to Kendrick Lamar…
