Is pure threshold training the best way to run a faster 10? Or should I try Tinman's Critical Velocity training for my next 10K and ditch the threshold training. I want to be like my favorite runner Sam Parsons with great strength!

Don't train for a 10k. Train to run a fast 5k. Then go and run a fast 10k. You're welcome.
