Won the STREND a bunch of times including US champs. Made the pump and run I won at Arnold expo feel easy as that was just max 30 bench your weight(I was capable of 40) and then a 5K run.
STR END = strength + Endurance was based on bodyweight and elbow to elob0w measurement determined grip width on Bench and wide grip pullups. 36"X .80 = 28.8"
The order was Bench your weight, Wide grip pullups strict and you had to touch a button at top with your chin, no swinging, half your bodyweight military press down to your ears and full lockout, followed by close grip V bar chins, and finally Dips. Bungee cord used on top and bottom was used on up portion to ensure your shoulder fully locked out and touched and another cord at bottom to where you had to go beyond 90 degrees and touch bicep to the bungee before going back up.
All 5 disciplines added up -for example, 40, 40, 30, 25, 50 = 185. Forgot to mention you had to be at each station on the 3 minutes. So if you took a minute to max on bench, you had two minutes rest before starting wide grip pull-ups and son on. There was a line of people coming in behind you every third minute.
Imagine maxing out to exhaustion on five disciplines set up as push, pull, push etc.
By the way after the 5th upper body discipline the dips, you then lined up for a 3 mile run. I can tell you that it added 2 minutes to your time, so if you could go 16 flat for 3 miles , you'd be lucky to go 18 minutes. Lactate was high, arms exhausted and starting out of breath. I set several records including age group and masters records, but never got a 10, but came very, very close. 9.9
Also there was a 200lb division for the big guys/gals.
It was scored by dividing your 3 mile time into your total reps. 100/20 = 5. 170/18 = 9.444. Highest factor won. Nothing I competed in after that was quite as hard including the Navy seal fitness contest I won.
Keeping pushing yourself and setting up challenges, never stop people! Now I just want to go head to head with Goggins- 10 minutes of strict pullups for total reps. I got six years on him though, but I'll put up $1,000. lets go!
