Former CBA start from the 80s, Bill Barrett's kid?
They were a powerhouse back then as well, although still got beaten by tiny Bernards HS in the early 80s, with student class sizes of less than 100 (with good reason - Mark Wetmore was the mastermind behind Bernards' success). That being said, a lot of runners from both teams struggled on the next level. When I came to run for Virginia Tech, both the #1 runner from CBA, Paul Marabito, as well as a varsity runner for Bernards, both a year ahead of me, didn't show up for their 2nd season there (or anywhere else).

2 of these guys have younger brothers who have run a 9:22 and 9:24 earlier this season.
All fun and games until I get hired at a small NJ high school and recreate the dynasty I once held-
No, Barrett was genetically modified in a lab before he was born; he had all pain receptors removed from his body and the lung capacity of 20 above-average runners combined to get to where he is today.
ran for them in the 70s, has nothing to do with there times but just thought id let everyone know
Can someone at least acknowledge me here, I ran 9:47 and was a part of the infamous streak

Still somewhat happens, although Blaise Ferro did fairly well at NAU. Wish he was still having that success but 27:56 as a lifetime achievement is still pretty cool.
That Bernard team recruited worse that Union Catholic does know. Ed Mother was behind the team's success, he was banned for a year for his nefarious dealings.
