I bet with today's supershoes and ABP and OOC testing, a couple of minutes slower, 2:18 - 2:20. Just like El G would not be able to run 3:26, let alone 3:24 today.
Some studies show that world class men got about 90sec faster in the marathon with super shoes. Women have had more gains. It seems to be speed based and the benefit is greater as the times get slower. There is no way to do direct comparisons because individual response varies. But overall, the shoes have had an impact. Paula was the WR holder and the best of her day. That is all we can say.

Kipchoges fastest time without supershoes or supershoe prototypes is 2,04.
As of today, Radcliffe's PB is almost exactly 1 km of road (c 3.15) faster than the next best marathons ever run by women from sea level. And she did this with the 'old' shoes and was a strident anti-doping campaigner. remarkable achievement.......
I can't wait for the day when she gets busted for doping. It's kind of this topic that no one wants to address, but everyone knows. Top tier runners with faster 1/2 marathon and 10k PR's (prior to supershoes) never came close, even when they ran with the men. smh

Yes, but his insoles were falling out of the shoes during the entirety of that race. That has to be worth something at least, if super shoes were never invented he and Bekele would still have run in the 2:03s. Kiptum probably 2:02
I'm a huge Radcliffe fan but even I don't think she could have run 2:11. That's a truly extraordinary time and I don't for a second think that the shoes are worth 4 minutes. My guess is her 2:15 is worth 2:13-high in modern shoes.
A side note: Assefa's record still isn't ratified after more than 6 months

Why not? Don't you remember that race. I do, I ran it too. My PB too acksherly. Same shoe model. Loved them like no other.
But 2.15.25? In 2003, on that old course? Paula really did have both the oxygen uptake and the economy and the endurance to do that. Professor Andy Jones didn't fudge the numbers.

+1
Let's not forget that the world record was already 2:02 before the supershoes. Also fact: there were more 2:03s by 2014 (7) than there are 2:01s now (6). So including supershoes the improvement was of the order of two minutes in nine years.
In 2005, another 9 years back, we had 2x 2:04 and 5x 2:05 - so again roughly two minutes in nine years.
