anyone use either site for getting shoes, e.g. alphaflys, when sold out elsewhere? I understand the guarantees but seem a bit hesitant still for fakes.

I’ve ordered most of my vaporflys from ebay and have never have a problem of running into fakes. The key for me is to look for listings that have photos that look like they were actually taken by the person (ie non-white background, photos of the box, etc.) selling the item, and not just the generic stock photos from the Nike website. And then as an added layer of security, they eBay authentication is pretty good as well and has cleared every pair that I’ve bought
Thanks! Good tips I didn't think about.
I’ve bought multiple pairs of alphaflys on eBay and haven’t received any fakes. I only buy if they are part of the authenticity guaranteed. I have however received two different sizes as part of the same order. Left was 9.5 and right was 10. It was weird but no problem to return. Another time I received a 9.5 women’s instead of men’s when it had no indication in the listing of which it was. My bad for not looking closer I guess.
Beware buying anything on Ebay, I was shipped items that did not match the photo, not a stock photo, the seller said I was lying, and Ebay sided with the seller.

And they deleted the negative feedback I left for the seller, who continues to have 100% positive feedback.
I have not had any issue with shoes that have been eBay authenticated. It does add to the shipping time somewhat. I have had 2 cases where the shoes could not be authenticated and I received a refund. Overall, a painless process and appears to be well worth it, especially if the shoes are on the expensive side.
I ordered some AlphaFly 1s off StockX when they were sold out absolutely everywhere and they seem legitimate. I never thought they were as fast as the vaporflys but I think that's more of what suits me as a runner than a potentially fake alphafly. Comparing them in person to my friend's old alphafly directly from Nike a few years ago they seem to match 1:1.
I buy all of my nike clothing on e-bay (mainly the nike aeroswift split racing shorts...find them around 35 -40 dollars with shippping instead of 90 dollars at retail). Never had an issue.
I bought a pair of Alphafly 1's off eBay a couple months ago. They were NOT authenticity guaranteed. They turned out to be fakes. They seller begrudgingly let me return them. Ebay was little help. I would consider eBay as a last resort. Go elsewhere if you can. I bought my current pair from poshmark. They are brand new old stock and I got them for $230.
I've had this issue with nylon wind pants too. Nike and Adidas fakes. Or they do a bait and switch.
