The eclipse totality was like nothing I've ever seen in person. 99.9% coverage is nothing like 100% coverage.
It totally lived up to the hype.
Where did you see it? I was kind of surprised how bright the day was even with just a thin sliver of sun at peak eclipse, although the light and shadows were a bit different.

OP here - NE Ohio - we lucked out. No clouds today.
I was fortunate enough to be in the path of totality back in 2017 in Columbia, South Carolina. It was truly an experience I will never forget and totally breath taking.
Side note - I graduated high school in the year 2000 and remember as a freshman in 1997 being able to see comet Hale-Bopp at track meets after the sun set. Totally breathtaking as well and was a spectacular sight.
