Poser she-it.
Needs a big slash everyone knows I’m a douchebag wearing tracksmith
Also known as the P.T. Barnum rain jacket.
Already had one in black, love it, just ordered the other colour. Bit pricey at $560 CAD, but worth it IMO.
waste of money. There's much cheaper and ways to dress appropriately for running in rainy conditions.
This is a 20 minute 5k jacket
I like look - no logo
NOPE.
Color options are oatmeal and ebony
The logo is on the edge of the sleeve, the worst place for a logo
Also on the back so you slow gits can see it as I cruise past.
1) Tracksmith isn't large enough to be innovative in the materials industry, so if they're making their own fabric, it's definitely substandard compared to premium offerings from materials-forward business' like Goretex
2) They take that sub-par material and spray on DWR. I have a bottle of that stuff in my closet that I use to apply to my rain jackets every now and then.
$400 for a substandard jacket, cool!
If it’s Tracksmith, the quality is just ok and it’s tremendously overpriced. They are only still in business because they market better than Lululemon. Their racing kits are ill fitting and for the most part, flat out ugly.
LOL, I got the ad for it via email, and I clicked on it just to see how much they were going to charge. I was guessing $300 but Tracksmith always exceeds my guess work.
I'll stick with my Norvan SL
This gets to my problem with this portion of their apparel line. When it's not just another pair of shorts, or a shirt, and it's something that I expect to perform functionally better than competitors given the price point, it's hard pass for me.
I've got a few things of theirs. And when it's a shirt where I like the color, or cut, or maybe the fabric is "nicer" I'll pay the premium. But when any brand tries to sell me something where performance is absolutely my top priority, and they're banking on me still buying because of all those other factors, they've lost me.
I want Tracksmith to make unlined nylon wind pants and jackets.
You know the swishy kind.....
It's funny I was just thinking the same thing. I have a couple pairs of their shorts. It cost me 165.00 with shipping and tax. If the quality was superior, it would be one thing, but the drawstring came off during the wash, back pockets already tearing. I notice they never have sales, coupon codes (there is a code for one of the New York track club members) or even offer free shipping.
Want. Both colors.
