I'm a high school sophomore running track. I started my off season 8 weeks prior to official team practice, which means I'll have been running continuously for about 24 weeks by the end of track. I've seen some improvement over the season with ~7 seconds improvement in the mile from 4:50. I would be happier if I improved more, and I'm trying to figure out reasons why I didn't. Was my off season too long or is it something else? For reference I sleep fairly well and I run my runs at 8:30
