Imagine getting back to fitness or being fit and training hard, and you go to visit your mother after a long run and she expects you to help around the house. It is like it is conditional that you have to help if you want a decent meal or laundry done.
To make matters worse, the last time I visited, she got a handy man in to put up a shelf, and he mocked me for not being able to do it. I would of youtubed how if I had the energy. I just said that I am a runner and I need to focus on recovery between each run in order to be able to train for the stress that my body goes under.
Is it just me or is our sport just not respected enough. If you do a long run or a hard session, then you should not have to be asked to do anything manual or physical. Leave that to the people who aren't taking running seriously like us. Discus
