I saw Jaylen Slade is training with Noah's group. He was hurt for a while, but I hope he's healthy now. He and Knighton I anticipated dominating the sprints for a bit. I look forward to his return to competition.

I hope so, he was bursting onto the scene in 2021, got hurt at the trials and practically disappeared from there. didn't run that fast comparatively in 2022 and didn't run in 2023.
I hope so too. I have always been of the opinion that he had more potential than Knighton. Then he got hurt at trials. From which i hope he has fully recovered as some injuries can mess with your mental health as they can create fear around reoccurrence.
I didn't see him competing in 2022 or 2023. Was he with Lyles' camp during those years as well?
The guy hasn’t been heard from since his junior or senior year in HS and it’s been a minute lol. He’s not old but studs graduate hs every year. He better do something and quick or his hs career will be the only thing anyone remembers.
I wish him well, but step 1 is to get back to where he left off, which puts him at the level of an outstanding college athlete. Times have changed, to even make the USATF 100/200 finals could require sub-10 and sub-20; his biggest problem might be that he is a U.S. athlete. - The kids does have talent, but it is definitely going to be an uphill climb.
I agree it's an uphill climb. His coach Lance seems to be a good enough coach having honed Lyles, Miller-Uibo and Bowie potentials to global titles. I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish. Given he's the same age as Knighton, he has enough time to make his mark.
He was off the scene because of injury. I look forward to see what he will accomplish within the next few years.
I'm a little surprised that shoe companies keep signing HS phenoms. Is the payoff really worth it?
Anyone else remember Candace Hill? Greatest heist in the history of T&F pro contracts, maybe ever. Got an 8 year contract with no reductions and proceeded to never do anything ever again.
It has been worth it for Allyson Felix, Noah Lyles, Sha'carri Richardson, who only did 1 year at a college (LSU, I believe), Erriyon Knighton.
