So let us say starting at 7 am until maybe midnight? Could you make it 10 miles? 20 miles? 30 miles? Maybe less than 10? Would you try for a lot of miles? Walking counts too. No offense intended if you are paralyzed or somehow immobile.

What's the point of dumb threads like this?
The point is to ask yourself how far you could go, whether the money would mean much to you, whether you have it in you to do it etc. The fact that you cannot recognize this shows you are a moron.
I think the minimum would be 68 miles. If you walk/jog 15 minute per mile pace, which is doable for most able bodied people, you’d get in 4 miles per hour. Then you have 17 hours of time. Maybe you get tired after 7 hours and start pumping out 20 minute miles. In that case you’re looking at 4 miles per hour for 7 hours plus 3 miles an hour for 9 hours. So, 55 miles. I’d aim for the 55 miles. It’s one day of fun for $55k.
About $68k, that’s 4 miles per hour - I’d do it back yard style.
I don't know the answer to your question. I'm sorry.
Wel of course age is a factor here. Very impressive if you could make it 55 miles. That is really much better than most.
Threads like this are worthless and clog up space, much like you and your comic books do in your parents' basement.
Have any of you ever tried this? You make it sound so easy. I am not saying you’re wrong though.
And yet you are obviously interested enough to be posting twice so far.
At least 50.
I am impressed. I would guess most posters couldn’t make it half that far.
Cue the Proclaimers:
But I would walk five hundred miles
And I would walk five hundred more
Just to be the man who walked a thousand
Miles
Are you new to the internet?
Great reference. But it would be 17 hours.
So $$$$$ would be the impetus to get a lot of miles. But would you be able to walk the next day after putting in 50 plus miles? This is uncharted territory for most of us.
And for my answer...
The last 10 weeks for me have been between 100-110mpw. So putting in crazy mileage for a day would not be a big deal. That said, I have no interest in killing myself for extra 10 grand/ So I'd take it relatively easy. Given 17 hours (7am to midnight) I could easily average 5mph with 5 minute breaks each hour to fuel/rest.
Put the check in the mail for $85k.
I simply responded to your comment. Now if you'll excuse me I'm in Polaris Class on my way to Hong Kong for a race. Enjoy the basement little one.
85 miles? Really impressive. You folks are amazing.
I'd find an ultra runner & pay them 500 per mile to do it for me.
