I will be surprised if the medals will not be found between these 6.
So I disagree especially regarding Beamish, Nader and Lumb.
Nader is still young. He might get his final breakthrough this year. He was 1:45.32 in the 800m and 3:31 in the 1500m last year.
I, however, agree that the 2 Americans and Nordås must be the foremost contenders for medals BUT ALSO AGREEING THAT THERE POSSIBLY WILL BE SURPRISES AS THERE ALMOST ALWAYS ARE.
Fogg is excellent though, but I have reservations about his finishing abilities in a race. He's a 1:48/800 guy as well, so if the race is tactical he might get blown away by 1:45/1:46 guys like Kessler and Hocker.
Disclaimer: My prediction may be way out! Very unpredictable race! Highlight of the Championships for me.
Watch out for Samuel Pihlström. Closed a 1500 in Sweden recently in 25 seconds. Excellent kick in a semi-fast race.
My bad for not including this Swede, only 22. Improvement very impressive year by year, 1:47 in 2023, 3:35 in 2024. He's more speed based than long distance.
See him nabbing 1:44.5/3:30.0 in next 2-3 years.....Go Sverige!
