The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a $953-billion business loan program established by the United States federal government during the Trump administration in 2020 through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Secur...
So wealthy trust fund kids accept public funds to keep their private business afloat.
Then wealthy trust fund kids who received public taxpayer money turn around and start a thread for needy student loan forgiveness, question it's legality, and call it "bribing voters."
Not a good look.
I would think that a reputable person, who would, upon realizing their poor judgement, apologize for their short sighted, self-serving error.

We are waiting.....
My problem with this is 1) Rojo seems to brag about it. 2) I know a lot of smaller more deserving business that didn't get anything because they didn't have connections. 3) he whines about inflation no realize he was a part of it, 4) he didn't disclose it on the student loan thread until he was provided proof.
Not to mention the address on the application is a house that was sold for a profit of at least $150K
Everyone got in on the action. At least the Johnson brothers had a legitimate business. There were so many with no business or work history of any who took out pittance amount like the brothers and go the loans forgiven. They only went after the really greedy and stupid ones that took millions. If you had a real business and you didn't apply, either your business flourished during Covid or you were unaware of the program. This is why we have a massive inflation. We printed so much money to pay for this. If you looked up names of usual suspects in NYC that came on the news due to their usual suspect activity, many of them took PPP loans as beautician. Not kidding you. It was an open secret that everyone knew. How to rip off the PPP loans. Not only that, the SBAs in democrat cities were ordered to approve every loan from the top.

I would add to your list that the guy who oversees banning forum users for breaking the rules is the very one who edits his post 12 hours after it was posted, clearly violating the very forum rules he created, oversees, and administers. Rojo's post now reads: "This post was edited 12 hours after it was posted."
And second, why doesn't he just keep his nose out of biased political discussions? Is that too much to ask of the people who are trusted to oversee the forum and keep it fair and without prejudice to one party or the other? Is that too much to expect.
Here is the uber liberal herself. This was the norm and not the exception. Her loan will be considered legitimate even though her 'groundskeeper' somehow became her executive assistant. Yeah hire the migrants to mow and water her lawn then have the taxpayers foot the bill.
I forgot. One of the small deli's in my area. I told the owner about the PPP loan. His business was definitely affected because for the longest time we couldn't even go inside the store. Well, he said "I'm gonna try to get by. No loans for me." I told him most likely it will be forgiven but he had reservations. Not sure why. The placed closed down just before they stopped asking us to wear mask to enter business.
