Does anyone know more details about Hobbs training? Would this work with less mileage?
In his interview with Jon Gault after the race today he mentioned that he has changed his training schedule a lot from last year in order to get the "optimize for the most stimulus for the least fatigue", and the pattern that he has found to work well is to run doubles most days of the week (mentioned that he takes off doubling once a week) and that his mileage has been around 75-90 with 2 speed sessions, 2 lifts, and 3-5 "quality" sessions and no long runs. He said that he has also emphasized fueling and not getting the feeling of "bonking" on runs longer than 7-8 miles. He may have downplayed this "bro science" but I think that it would be interesting to compare with Jakob's week.
